BAPE Cafe

If your in Japan and looking for somehwere to eat, why not check out the BAPE Cafe. Located in Tokyo the BAPE Cafe has a nice menu and is a good place to relax.
Since it is a cafe, it has more deserts and drinks then main course food. You can still get a cheeseburger though. They also have curry, fried chicken, sauteed tuna, and green salad.
New BAPESTA Shoe Styles
0You may have noticed that there are some new style of BAPESTAs this season. Some people might mistake them for fakes but it’s just a new style. Take a look at the pictures below.
New styles
Notice how the bottom of the star is cut off at the sole of the shoe. With the old styles this would be a dead give away for fapes (fake bapes). However these are legit although buying over ebay or online could make it really hard to tell with these so I would suggest getting this style in store only.

These BAPE shoes don’t have any star on them at all making it even harder to tell the difference from a fake when buying online. Always make sure you are buying from a legitimate source. Check out the Fake BAPE section for tips on spotting fake BAPE merchandise and a list of sellers with bad reps.

BAPE Jackets
I like these jackets the best from the choices this season. It looks warm and has a nice style, with good colour choices.
At first I thought this jacket was awesome, but then I realised something was off. The camo pattern is just a regular army style. It is not the typical BAPE style camo create with the warped ape heads. I checked the whole catalogue for a BAPE style camo winter jacket and could not find a single one. It kind of sucks they didn’t make one because it would definately be the best style.
I don’t really like this jacket style but I’m putting it on the site because it is $710 dollars. Sometimes the BAPE prices make me laugh. Who is gonna pay $710 for this?? The other styles above are better in my opinion.
BAPE celebrates it’s 15th Anniversary.

Happy Birthday A Bathing Ape. BAPE is now 15 years old and still going strong. Over the years the company has grown a lot and has expanded into the U.S.A., Europe, and China. If they continue to grow, one day there might be a BAPE store located in Canada (hopefully).

With A Bathing Ape celebrating its 15th birthday this month, Pharrell’s BFF reveals five contradictions from the planet of the Bapes.
1 We used to sell to something like 40 different stores in Japan… But around 1998, I decided to just cut back to our one store in Tokyo. It didn’t take long until the sales from one store were as good as when we sold throughout the country. That made me realize that this was something bigger than I had imagined.
2 I don’t think our clothes are so expensive; we make things in a very similar system to high-fashion designers… But we are interested in casual clothes. People get our jeans, tees and sweats confused with mass-produced consumer items. We respect the spirit of what we want to do over financial considerations—that’s consistent with our motto, I think.
3 I sort of fell out of touch with hip-hop… But the thing that got me enthusiastic about it again in the late ’90s was the South, especially Cash Money. So, Little Wayne wearing the clothes I had made was amazing. I am very pleased if he is known for wearing Bape.
4 I have a girlfriend, and we have been together for about three years. She is a well-known actress in Japan [Riho Makise], and people are aware of the relationship… But she has her own career, and I don’t want to interfere in that. So, there is a conscious decision to avoid being seen together in public too often.
5 I never read blogs. So, I don’t even hear the criticism about us doing Nike take-offs. I’d like to say that other brands doing Bape knockoffs shows that the brand is recognized and desired… But in reality, it’s really annoying to have to deal with it.
